About Marketing at UW
Business today moves faster than ever. The global competition is intense, the escalating
change in technology is ruthless and the pressure to perform is high. The environment
of risk and reward leads to faster decision-making, faster implementation, faster
growth or collapse.
Marketing, the generation of revenue, is one of the functions that determine if a
business will survive in this environment. To succeed, businesses must understand
how to find and keep profitable customers.
Marketing embraces a wide focus area that relates to both the technical and behavioral
aspects of generating revenue. Being a UW marketing major will help you acquire the
skills necessary to successfully navigate this landscape.
