Wind River VITA

Free tax preparation is available at the Wind River Reservation Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) event for households with an income of $64,000 or less. Your tax returns will be handled with complete privacy and confidentiality, and most are eligible for e-filing to ensure a quicker refund, usually within 4-8 weeks. What to Bring

• Proof of identification (driver’s license, state photo ID, or other government-issued identification that includes a photo)
• Social Security cards or ITIN letters for taxpayers & dependents
• Birth dates for you, your spouse, and dependents on the tax return
• Wage and earning statements (Forms W-2, W-2G, 1099-R, 1099-MISC) from all employers
• Social Security Benefit Statements (SSA-1099)
• Interest and dividend statements from banks (Form 1099)
• Health insurance exemption certificate, if received
• Health Coverage Statements (1095-A, B, C health coverage statements)
• Bank routing and account numbers for direct deposit
