Joshua Sainz

My name is Joshua Carlos Sainz. I am excited to be working as an Academic Advising Professional with the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences. Initially, I will be working with students majoring in Computer Science, but I will eventually be working alongside students in Mechanical Engineering and across a large portion of CEPS majors.

 

Prior to starting with CEPS, I worked as a Program Coordinator for the Ranch Management & Agricultural Leadership program and a former Academic Advising Professional in the College of Agriculture, Life Sciences, and Natural Resources. I have dedicated my academic and professional careers to the University of Wyoming where I received my bachelor's and master's degrees. To make an academic trifecta with UW, I am currently finishing my Ph.D. in the Higher Education Administration program.

 

When I am not busy with work and school obligations, my wife, Giza, and I stay busy following the extracurricular endeavors of our three energetic daughters. We enjoy traveling around and exploring as many places as our car and time allows. Being born and raised in Wyoming, I tend to enjoy hunting, fishing, and all the other outdoor activities that come with living in this region. Gastronomy tourism, experimenting in the kitchen, and exchanging stories around foodways are things I thoroughly enjoy.

 

I am excited to get to know and work with the students, faculty, and staff in CEPS and hope to meet as many people as possible!
