When John Bellamy received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering, he was the third generation to receive an engineering degree from the University of Wyoming. John went on to receive his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Arizona. John has over 30 years of experience in telecommunications and data communications product development - as an individual contributor and manager.

In addition to his industrial experience he has lectured as an adjunct professor in the electrical engineering department of Southern Methodist University where he taught courses in telecommunications and computer programming. In January 2000, the third edition of John's seminal book on digital telecommunications Digital Telephony was published. Over 50,000 copies of Digital Telephony have been published worldwide and the manuscript has been translated into Japanese and Russian.
John has been active in the Dallas Chapter of the IEEE and received the 1996 Fred W. Ellersick Prize Paper Award for the best tutorial paper, "Digital Network Synchronization," in 1995 in the IEEE Communications magazine.
