Our Mission

The development, application and dissemination of new knowledge (often lumped together under the term "Research") are key functions of the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences. This web page serves as a locus for finding information related to research activities in the College as well as a place to find links to College and University research policies and procedures.

Sincerely,

Collaborate With Colleagues

Finding the right research collaborators and partnering with counterparts can be a game-changer for your research. While working with research collaborators from different fields offers a blend of unique perspectives, it also allows access to specialized equipment, funding opportunities, and research facilities that would not otherwise be possible. Benefits of research collaboration include:

  • Comprehensive, High-Quality Research
  • Improved Chance of Publication
  • Increase in Peer Networking
  • Fostering of Cross-Discplinary Understanding

Despite the many benefits and growing collaborative research trends, finding the right partners or research collaborators can be a challenge. Visit our Collaborate With Colleagues webpage to start collaborating with your colleagues!

Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowships  For AI-Enabled Interdisciplinary Research

This year, the program will support a cohort of up to six Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellows for two-year terms. Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellows participating in the program will receive professional development opportunities, including entrepreneurship-focused workshops, and mentorship from experts in at least two disciplines. Projects involving collaboration with Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratories are encouraged. Learn more about this opportunity here.
