Online & Digital Learning (ODL) encompasses instructional practices that effectively use technology and evidence-based practice to strengthen teaching and learning. We support an understanding of course/program design that engages students in learning that is meaningful, relevant, and accessible to all. It recognizes that individual experiences and backgrounds strengthen rigor and enrich the classroom experience. ODL can encompass many different understandings, techniques, tools, digital content and resources, and applications to support and empower teachers and students, in all educational environments including online, hybrid, and face to face. ODL works to increase access to educational opportunities, improve student success, as well as providing instructors with the knowledge and tools to teach all students.
