Melanoplus fasciatus

Melanoplus fasciatus, the huckleberry grasshopper, is found in Wyoming's mountains where it inhabits moist grasslands. It is often found along forested streams or marshy areas. Its life cycle is not known in Wyoming's mountains but adults are present in late July and August. This species is a mixed feeder, preferring forbs, but its economic importance in Wyoming is not known.
