In this module we’ll use a material called “Velostat” to make

Pressure sensors

  • Measure weight and force

  • Make fun switches such as a “slap switch” or piano keyboard

  • Intruder sensor, tennis shoe blink sensor

Flex sensors

  • In gloves to sense finger positions (robotics applications)

  • Measure wind or water speed
