Military Tuition Assistance
PRIOR TO ENROLLMENT
Students using Federal Tuition Assistance, regardless of which branch, are required
to receive approval for tuition assistance from their Educational Services Officer
(ESO) or counselor with Military Services, prior to enrolling in the course that the
tuition assistance will be applied. There may be occasions when a student is waitlisted
or is having enrollment issues, if that is the case please contact the ESO for assistance.
APPLYING FOR TUITION ASSISTANCE
- Apply for admission to UW.
- Contact your ESO for approval and to arrange for use of your Tuition Assistance (TA).
Please bring your authorization to our VA Certifying Official for processing. The
VA Certifying Official will discuss costs for the term you plan to enroll and other
financial aid opportunities.
- Complete The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA can be completed
after October 1 for the upcoming fall enrollment. If you plan to enroll sooner than
fall please be certain you are completing the correct FAFSA. The priority deadline
for completing the FAFSA is March 1st of each year.
