The University of Wyoming (UW) is honored to provide assistance to those veterans planning to utilize their benefits for tuition and fees. UW proudly participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program for non-resident students who do not qualify for the Choice Act program.

Follow these steps to utilize your education benefits.

Once UW receives your results, we will award you with any federal or state aid for which you are eligible. apply for aid
Do this as soon as possible as it can take, on average, 6 weeks to process completely!
After you apply for VA Benefits you will receive a Certificate of Eligibility from the VA,
Please provide a copy of the Certificate of Eligibility to the School Certifying Official, Dorie Gallegos.

Your next steps will be on the academic side; by working with an academic advisor to enroll for courses.
Each semester the School Certifying Official will email an Authorization for Certification to be completed. The student must return this documentation before the certification can be completed with the VA. Look for fall term emails late July, spring term emails early January, and summer emails in early May.
