Kappa Kappa Gamma (Gamma Omicron Chapter)
Kappa Kappa Gamma, founded in 1870, is one of the oldest women's fraternities. The
Gamma Omicron chapter at the University of Wyoming has been active since 1927. Our
core values of friendship, leadership, and scholarship unite generations of Kappas,
fostering a college experience focused on intellectual development, self-growth, and
campus involvement.
We strive to dream boldly and live fully, giving back and inspiring positive change
through our philanthropic efforts. Our three pillars of philanthropy include the Kappa
Kappa Gamma Foundation, national mental health organizations, and local support for
the Albany County SAFE Project. We proudly partner with nonprofits like Active Minds,
the JED Foundation, NAMI, Mental Health America, and NEDA.
The Kappa Foundation funds impactful programs, including scholarships, financial assistance,
and member education. A recent grant for Talkspace offers accessible mental health
resources to our members.
Locally, we support the Albany County SAFE Project, raising over $5,000 in 2022 for
survivors of violence. Our members hold leadership roles on the UW Panhellenic Council,
participate in Kappa intramural sports, engage in the Big Event, and are active in
the Honors College, UW Athletics, various RSOs, Mortar Board, Order of Omega, and
more!
