Fraternity Recruitment Process

The Interfraternity Council offers year-round recruitment, allowing interested members to join at any time. The first few weeks of each semester tend to be busier, with more recruitment events like meet-and-greets, informational sessions and social activities. Take your time to explore chapters that align with your values, fill out an interest form and stay updated through FSL socials for the latest recruitment news.

What You Need to Know

Joining your college fraternity is a time of discovery. You get to dive into what excites you and what values you hold most dear. You get to connect with like-minded individuals and start forming bonds that will last far beyond your time at UW.

The University of Wyoming boasts ten fraternity chapters. Look over each chapter's profile to learn more about their history and values.

The Interfraternity Council and national policies require all recruitment activities to be substance-free, meaning alcohol and drugs are prohibited during these events.

Being part of a fraternity affords you new leadership and personal development opportunities. Be sure to look into available trainings and programs.

Per IFC regulations, prospective members can only be recruited if they have a GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Some chapters have a higher internal requirement.

Dues are dependent on each chapter and can range from $200.00 to $4,000.00 a semester. Check with your chapter(s) of interest to learn more specific details.
