Haruka Takaku is a JOI (Japan Outreach Initiative) Coordinator for the Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation. She recently started her two-year appointment in August 2024, working in Cody, WY to strengthen ties between Wyoming and Japan, share Japanese culture, and grow relationships across the state.

Every year, ISS Assistant Director Daing Nasir travels around the world to recruit international students for the University of Wyoming. This past year, Daing has visited schools, college fairs, forums, conferences, and other events across India, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Ecuador, Malaysia, Vietnam, and more, culminating in a successful (and busy) recruitment cycle.
