Application Process
Faculty selection is based on personality and attitude as well as on course proposals. Individuals applying must also have enthusiasm, an interest in high school age students and the ability to relate to this age group, flexibility, and readiness to share in responsibilities outside of the classroom.
Those wishing to apply to teach for HSI should send the following to the HSI office
(hsi@uwyo.edu) or drop it off no later than the due date established by the program (typically
mid-January):
· A course description (3-5 pages) which includes a general description of the
instructional format and a suggested list of reading materials.
· A cover letter - explaining your reasons for wanting to teach and learn in
this environment.
· A CV - of academic career, including references to course development and
teaching achievements.
You will be notified of the courses selected for the Summer High School Institute by early February.
