Background and Research Interests
Dr. Adam Ibrahim is an Assistant Professor within the Division of Kinesiology and Health at
the University of Wyoming. His research focuses on building person-adaptive exercise
programs to manage the exercise experience and support long-term engagement. This
work integrates principles from strength and conditioning, behavioral psychology,
and behavioral economics with the goal of generating evidence-based strategies that
integrate physiological and psychological principles, giving practitioners tools to
design programs that are both effective and personally meaningful. His research employs
mixed-methods approaches to capture the complexities of behavior and the human experience
with exercise. Additional interests include affective responses to resistance training
and the development of biographical mapping as an onboarding procedure for exercise
programming.
