Background and Research Interests
Dr. Kayla Kowalczyk is an Assistant Professor specializing in Biomechanics within the Division of Kinesiology and Health at the University of Wyoming. Her research focuses on examining the influence of mild traumatic brain injury/concussion on lower extremity biomechanics, muscle activation, and coordination during rapid, change-in-direction tasks. She also evaluates lower extremity injury risk biomechanics in populations susceptible to musculoskeletal injuries, such as anterior cruciate ligament rupture.
