BACKGROUND & RESEARCH INTERESTS

Dr. Jennifer A. Kurtz is an Assistant Professor specialized in sports nutrition and performance within the Division of Kinesiology and Health at the University of Wyoming. Her research focuses on targeted dietary interventions, nutrient timing, and dietary supplements to optimize endurance, strength, recovery, and blood biomarkers in athletes and women. Her work emphasizes metabolic exercise testing and hormonal influences on metabolism to advance performance and long-term health, particularly in female and endurance athlete populations.
