I am originally from Springfield, Illinois, and first left home to attend Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida. After graduating with a degree in philosophy, politics, and economics, I began my law school search. I flew out to visit the University of Wyoming and knew that I wanted to trade the beach for the mountains.
My interest in the law began with my father, who served the Springfield Police Department for twenty-five years. His career inspired my passion for public service and heightened my awareness of the critical role that prosecutors have in the criminal justice system. I want to pursue criminal prosecution after graduation, and it is my goal to learn how to justly serve and enrich the community and local law enforcement.
I have jumped at several opportunities to work with the Prosecution Assistance Program throughout my law school career. There is no better way to learn then having the opportunity to do hands-on work with local prosecutors. It has also been a pleasure to work alongside the Prosecution Program alumni, who are constantly willing to provide support and valuable knowledge.
I am honored to serve as the student director this year, and I look forward to working alongside Professor Jackson and the dedicated students who participate in the clinic.
