A legal externship is a great way to gain practical legal experience while in law school and earn course credit at the same time. The University of Wyoming College of Law has a robust externship program with many opportunities available. Kipp Coddington, Director of the Energy, Environment & Natural Resources Clinic, serves as the Externship Supervisor for the program. Please contact him or Tim Crawford with any questions you might have. Many students have said this is one of the best experiences they have in law school. The opportunity to apply your legal knowledge to 'real-world' practice is invaluable to your legal education!
Externship Process:
There is a simple application process for externships. Prior to the deadline, complete the online form below for the semester you are applying. Please also supply any supplemental materials noted in the externship description found through the placement lists (https://www.uwyo.edu/law/experiential/legal-externships/placement.html).
