Housing & Dining

Whether you're hosting four or 1,500, our professional conference staff will be able to accommodate you. We are here to serve you with over 100 conferences and camps each summer. The professional staff at the University of Wyoming will attend to all the details of planning and logistics so that you and your participants can focus on making the most of the one-of-a-kind experience that we provide.


Housing


From mid-May through early August, UW welcomes overnight conference and event guests to a diverse range of lodging options. Whether guests stay in traditional or suite-style lodging, our secure facilities provide guests with free campus-wide WiFi, linens, and dedicated, 24-hour desk staff to ensure a comfortable stay. Below are the various lodging options available to our guests.

The University of Wyoming features four centrally located Residence Halls within walking distance of nearly all campus facilities. Our spacious buildings offer single or double-occupancy rooms and can accommodate approximately 1,900 guests. Within the Residence Halls, guests have access to community lounges, a 24-hour front desk, and complimentary wifi. Residence Halls are available from mid-May through early August.

The Tobin House offers intimate accommodations for adult groups seeking a unique summer conference experience. In addition to offering single, double, or triple occupancy bedrooms, this house provides a kitchenette, dining room, study area, laundry facility, and plenty of common space. The Tobin House can accommodate approximately 60 guests but has limited availability and a different rate structure, as outlined on the rates page.

Linen packets are available upon request and cost $12.00 per person per week.  Packets include 1 pillow with a cover, 1 pillowcase, 2 flat sheets, 1 blanket, 1 towel, and 1 washcloth.  Linen packets are refreshed once per week.

Laundry facilities are located in the basement of each hall and are available to all guests. Laundry is operated by your smartphone through the ClearToken app. More information about downloading and using ClearToken can be found in the laundry rooms or through the ClearToken website.

UW Guest is designed to be used by anyone without a UW username and password.  If you do have a UW account, please connect to UWyo.  

  1. Select the UW Guest network in the list of available networks.

  2. Review the accepted use policy and hit Connect.

  3. You will get a success message once you are connected.

Dining

 

Our exemplary dining center focuses on a dining experience full of choice and quality while maximizing your dollar spent. All meals are “all you care to eat” and our dietitian ensures special diets are always accommodated. Menu options include fresh salad bars, comfort food, ethnic cuisine, and home-cooked favorites.


Washakie Dining Center offers an expansive selection of creative, tasty, and health-conscious food options your entire group will enjoy. Designed as a marketplace-style dining facility, the Washakie Dining Center houses multiple serving platforms and provides a variety of options. Our talented culinary professionals and facilities allow us to develop menus that meet a multitude of tastes and deliver food beyond expectations. Vegan and Vegetarian options can be found at almost every serving platform and gluten-friendly options are also available.

 

Meal Plan Requirement

All guests staying in the Residence Halls, Honors House, and Tobin House are required to participate in the Washakie Dining Center meal plan which includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Participants who are not staying on campus but are interested in dining at the Washakie Dining Center are welcome to participate in a commuter meal plan. Sack lunch options are also available for field trips and off-campus activities. Please feel free to contact us with any meal plan requirement questions.

Sack Lunch Services

Groups interested in organizing field trips, excursions, or off-campus activities are invited to request our sack lunch service for their traveling meal needs. Guests may choose from an assortment of grab-and-go options including a variety of sandwiches, fresh seasonal fruit, delectable cookies, and more. Vegan, Vegetarian, and Gluten-Friendly options are available for diverse dietary needs. To place a sack lunch order, please contact Catering and Events.

Special Event Services

With an extensive staff of enthusiastic and highly trained employees, Catering & Events possesses the resources to provide first-rate service for any gathering, no matter the scope or occasion. From tie-and-jacket banquets to casual luncheon affairs, the Catering & Events team delivers the same level of commitment and attention to detail at every function. We expertly serve conferences, banquets, fundraisers, weddings, private celebrations, receptions, and other events for a variety of university and non-university audiences. Frequently Asked Questions

 

Each participant will have access to an extra-long twin bed with a mattress, a clothing wardrobe, and a desk with a chair. Most rooms do not include a refrigerator, microwave, or fan.

 

The Residence Halls, Honors House, or Tobin House are not air-conditioned but cooled by the fresh mountain breeze. Guests are welcome to bring a fan if desired.

As part of our regular safety measures, trained conference assistants periodically walk through all areas of the buildings and report concerns to the appropriate authority. The University of Wyoming Police Department is also available for response 24/7.

Parking around the residence halls is monitored by the Transit and Parking department. Paid permits are required, except at meters. For specifics on where to park and how to acquire a parking permit, please contact our campus partners at Transportation and Parking Services.

The University of Wyoming is committed to providing appropriate accommodations and dining services to guests with disabilities. Guests with disabilities who need reasonable accommodation are encouraged to coordinate with their conference organizer and/or Disability Support Services.
