Mathematics Assessment
Mission
The Mathematics Department aspires to serve as a statewide resource for education
of the highest quality. We are committed to outreach that serves the people in our
communities, our state, the nation, and the world. We seek to provide opportunities
that will:
-
Expose students to the frontiers of scholarship and creative activity, and the complexities
of an interdependent world where mathematics is the common language,
-
Offer a well-rounded academic program to meet the needs of our graduates, giving them
skills sought by competitive employers and graduate and post-graduate educational
programs,
-
Nurture a learning and working environment that values and manifests diversity, free
expression, academic freedom, personal integrity, and mutual respect; and
- Promote opportunities for personal growth and leadership development for all members
of the Mathematics community.
