     Application

Currently, no GRE score has been set for applicants.  If you have taken the GRE, please include your score in your application.

Preferred deadline to apply to the program is January 31 each year for admission to the fall semester of that year. We will consider applications past that date until all available positions, including Teaching Assistantships, are filled.

Applicants are more likely to succeed as students and instructors provided they have achieved an ACTFL proficiency rating of Advanced Low in the language of the degree program to which the applicant is applying, as well as in English.  Faculty in the degree program will interview prospective applicants online to determine that they possess sufficient proficiency in the language and in English to be successful in their course of study. International students who are Teaching Assistants are required to take OPI or OPIc in English.

Grade point average required for admittance to UW Graduate Education and MA program for Spanish is 3.0. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.0 to continue in the program.
