UW Jazz Ensembles Present Rhythm is King Nov. 25

The University of Wyoming Jazz Studies program will present "Rhythm is King” Monday, Nov. 25, at 7:30 p.m. in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts concert hall. The performance is free and open to the public.

The collaborative concert features UW Jazz Ensemble II with the UW Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Combo I and Jazz Combo II. Directing will be Department of Music Assistant Professor Andy Wheelock, UW Jazz Ensemble II and the UW Percussion Ensemble; Lecturer Ryan Fourt, Jazz Combo I; and Jazz Studies Director Ben Markley, Jazz Combo II.

The concert will include Afro-Cuban music, tunes by Count Basie and the American Songbook.
