JOIN US!!!CALLING ALL FAY W. WHITNEY SCHOOL OF NURSING GRADUATES!!! The University of Wyoming Alumni Association Nursing Chapter (UWAANC) seeks new board
members. We need 1 Co-President and 1 Co-Secretary and 2 Co-Vice Presidents Required qualifications:
- Be a graduate of the UW School of Nursing
- Be a member of the UW Alumni Association Nursing Chapter (can sign up when running
for office)
Recommended qualifications:
- Desire to impact nursing students as a mentor
- Influence career paths for nursing students
- Network with other alumni
- Devote time for organizing and participating in UWAANC events
Co-President responsibilities include:
- Presiding at all meetings
- Appointing all standing, special, and ad hoc committees
- Collaborating with the UWAA and the FWWSON
- Working in partnership with the Student Nurses Association
- Organizing student activities and events
- Coordinating board member meetings
- Setting up the budget
- Attending School of Nursing events when possible
- Average time involved in role: 1-2 hours a week
Co-Vice President responsibilities:
- Acting in the absence of the Presidents(s) in all capacities as listed above
- Assisting in conducting the business of the organization
- Assisting the Co-Presidents with organizing student activities
- Participating in board member meetings
- Attending School of Nursing events when possible
- Average time involved in role: 30 minutes a week
Co-Secretary responsibilities:
- Taking minutes at all board meetings
- Keeping a permanent record of proceedings, meeting minutes, and reports.
- Attending School of Nursing events when possible
- Average time involved in role: 1-2 hours monthly
