How do environmental, economic and health factors influence regional vulnerability to COVID-19?

This article is a preprint and has not been certified by peer review [what does this mean?]. It reports new medical research that has yet to be evaluated and so should not be used to guide clinical practice.
This COVID-19 research was compiled to look at some other parameters that have not typically been considered in other studies, parameters such as the economic conditions, air pollution, age 65+, diabetes, and many others. It is suggestive that age and diabetes are the most significant variables.

Research Interests:

My research interests are in the general area of geosciences and porous media modeling. This is a broad area that includes geophysics, geology, and geomechanics, as well as fluid flow and transport processes, all in close association with computer simulation and computational methods. Addressing most of the current complex problems requires integration of various types of data, which on its own is another daunting problem. Thus, developing more complex, but also more realistic porous media models, requires novel physical concepts. It also requires new datasets, collected over disparate length scales, as well as new computational tools for integrating all such ingredients. This requires new approaches to data analysis, multivariate modeling, and temporal adjustment.
