Announcements

  • Beginning Tuesday, June 1, reservations will no longer be required for the Climbing Wall.  The Climbing Wall will be open for bouldering anytime Half Acre is open: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm. Visit the Climbing Wall page for more information.

  • We have Wilderness Medicine course offerings currently open. At this time we are offering Part 1 (online) portions of courses, and hope to have Part 2 (in-person) course dates listed soon for the coming Fall semester. To learn more, visit our Wilderness Medicine page.

 

Mission Statement

As part of the Campus Recreation Department, the Outdoor Program helps recruit and retain students, faculty and staff by providing a wide range of inclusive, safe, reasonably-priced outdoor programs and services to the UW community.  We expose individuals to the natural environment, provide skill and leadership development opportunities, and facilitate interactions and fun.
