How to Rent a Bike

Getting started with our bike rental program is easy! Rentals are available to UW students, staff and faculty. In-town bikes can be rented for the semester at $25 for students and $50 for staff/faculty. Mountain bikes, fat bikes, and bikepacking gear are available for daily or weekend rentals. Bike helmets and locks come free with rentals.

To rent, bring a valid credit card and UW ID to the Outdoor Program at Half Acre.

Helpful Bike Rental Information

Our team can assist with maintenance and minor repairs of your bike rental. Renters are responsible for damage beyond normal wear. We have a work station and tools that you can use for your personal bikes as well; we do not fix personal bikes but offer some clinics to help you learn how to yourself!

Familiarize yourself with the biking regulations for UW’s campus and Laramie’s city ordinances to ensure a safe experience and promote a positive biking culture.

If rented equipment is not returned or is returned damaged, renters are responsible for the full retail replacement cost of $250.

Use the UW Campus Bike Map to explore bike paths and find bike racks on campus. The Laramie Bike Map helps you access bike paths around the community.
