The Research Development Office is happy to provide general proposal development tools, as well as individualized support for proposals of every size. We've gathered proposal development tools and resources here from a variety of federal funding agencies, UW faculty and administration, and grant managers.

  • Identifying funding opportunities
  • Consult on funding programs and project fit (strategic planning)
  • Help in understanding funding solicitations
  • Assist in identifying collaborators
  • Facilitate ideation and host proposal planning meetings
  • Make connections to units, resources, and facilities on campus
  • Manage complex, multi-investigator proposal projects
  • Provide proposal examples
  • Assist in developing white papers/concept papers
  • Provide templates and boilerplate language and collect proposal documents (bios, current & pending, etc.)
  • Develop proposal budgets
  • Provide consultations with external reviewers (TIG) for coaching on general grant/proposal/fellowship writing
