Graduate and Post-Doctoral Training and Internships

Where Science Meets Strategy, Law, and the Marketplace.

The Wyoming ART’s Technology Transfer Internship Program provides opportunities for first-hand learning about technology transfer and use-inspired research, preparing participants for a broad range of both academic and non-academic science opportunities.

We are seeking ambitious students to join a fast-paced environment where university research is transformed into real-world products and startups. As an intern, you will move beyond the classroom to manage live technologies, working directly with mentors to evaluate, protect, and sell innovations.

Whether you are pursuing a JD, MBA, advanced degree or finishing your undergraduate education, you will gain cross-functional expertise that sets you apart in the job market.

Don't just take our word for it! Hear from our student intern

"This internship really helped me gain experience in technical reading and writing for a wide variety of fields, and enabled me to dive straight into the world of intellectual property. My time at the UWYO TTO allowed me to work with all sorts of interesting inventions and inventors, while giving me plenty of opportunities for growth. My mentors were always available and happy to help me, and made a huge effort to put me on projects that helped me round out my skills and give me the tools to succeed as an IP professional."

- Jacob McDaniel, TTO Intern August to December of 2025
