MANUFACTURING WORKS
- Broad technical assistance, engineering solutions, and Industry 4.0 techniques for manufacturing businesses throughout the state
- Assist clients with continuous improvement strategies, cybersecurity measures, ISO and quality management, prototyping, supplier scouting, and more
- Offices and advisors available throughout the state
- Since 2019, created or maintained 959 Wyoming jobs, helped 331 manufacturers succeed, and inspired clients to invest over $36 million in Wyoming’s economy
Economic Development Administration University Center program at uw
- Supports high-growth entrepreneurship and business development and bolsters statewide networks and referral systems.
- Executed through both the EDA funding and partnerships with the Wyoming Innovation Partnership, the Wyoming Business Council, UW's Center for Business & Economic Analysis, and UW's Manufacturing Works.
Wyoming Apex Accelerator (formerly Procurement Technical Assistance Center)
- Assistance and advising to contract with the world’s largest customer, the U.S. Government, as well as state and local government contracting opportunities
- No-cost one-on-one advising, training, and educational opportunities
- Assistance to help navigate the government contracting learning curve and assistance with certifications and registrations
- In 2022, the Wyoming PTAC assisted clients to secure over $98 million in government contracts

Technology Transfer Office
- Assist University of Wyoming faculty, staff, and students to secure intellectual property rights for inventions and innovation concepts based on University-sponsored research activities
- Support technology transfer of inventions and innovations to industry
- Provide support regarding intellectual property both to the University of Wyoming community directly and statewide generally through educational outreach
Wyoming SBIR/ STTR Initiative (WSSI)
- Assistance and advising to help Wyoming entrepreneurs and small business owners research, develop, and commercialize their innovations
- Information and assistance on applying for the $2.5 billion awarded each year by the federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs
- Education and training programs to help in applying for federal funds
- In 2021 WSSI clients were awarded $566,000 in federal agency funds
Innovation and Economic Prosperity
- The Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) has designated the University of Wyoming as an Innovation and Economic Prosperity (IEP) institution.
