Custom design and manufacture of small pieces of devices for SBC investigators
SBC pleased to announce its partnership with Manufacuring-works.com, an unit affiliated with the Research and Economic Development Division, for SBC
investigators' research needs. This will help compensate for the loss of access to
the Research Support Units formally supported by the College of Art and Sciences.
What service is provided?
Manufacuring-works.com will help SBC researchers with their design needs including, but not limited to,
small devices (such as an electrode holder, an acrylic chamber, or a faraday cage).
From a design, make 3D drawing using solid works and manufacture. Right now, they
do not make electronic devices; however, if there is a need to make such a device,
they are willing to work with our investigators to get this area developed.
How do you make a request?
- Contact Kara Duggan if you have a design need, and she will request a designer to set up an appointment with you to discuss the project and have it done.
- Kara Duggan will take care of billing via IDR. The project will be billed to your
project?
Are there any examples of the capabilities of the products to be made?
