Rachel Sailor teaches a wide variety of courses in Art History and American Studies. Her research focuses on the history of American photography. She has published Meaningful Landscapes: Landscape Photographers in the Nineteenth-Century American West (UNM Press, 2014), Pictorial Photography and the American West, 1900-1950: The Broad Movement (Brill, 2023), and is working on a new book project about Alvin Langdon Coburn’s photographs of the Grand Canyon in 1911.
