Director
Rachel Ferrell has been with the University of Wyoming for over two decades, serving in a variety of financial and management roles before becoming the Director of Business Operations for the School of Energy Resources (SER) in 2019. In this role, she oversees financial operations exceeding $100 million and leads a team of six dedicated accounting and finance professionals.
A proud UW alumna, Rachel holds degrees in both Accounting and Management. She is known for her strategic thinking, sharp attention to detail, and commitment to developing others. Her leadership emphasizes autonomy, purpose, and continuous improvement—qualities that drive both team success and institutional impact.
Rachel brings strengths in financial analysis, team building, and systems optimization to support SER’s research, academic, and outreach missions. She regularly cheers for the Pokes on game days!
