Parking Information
The Energy Innovation Center (EIC) is physically located at the corner of 11th Street and Lewis Street in Laramie on the west side of the Unviersity of Wyoming campus. Nestled in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) cooridor, the EIC is an important fixutre for collaborative research with the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences.
Parking spaces are limited in the area, but visitors and guests have options for day use permits, metered parking spaces, or if arranged by the School of Energy Resources, reserved guest spaces.

EIC Rooms and Laboratories

The Encana Auditorium is an easily adjustible classroom fully equipped with upgraded audio-visual technology.

The Peabody Collaboration Center is set to host medium-sized gatherings. The room is equipped with a full board table and AV equipment for virutal meetings.

The smallest of the meeting spaces, this room hosts a full conference table with upgraded AV equiment, and is encased by three, full-length windowed walls.

The Tallgrass Student Lound provides a home space for student in SER Academic programs. The area is utilized by students for group work or quiet study time.

Located on the first floor, Williams Hydrogen Offices provide work space for the research team in the Hydrogen Energy Research Center.

The PureWest Student Area and Atrium provides a study space for students on the second floor. Adjacent to the Encana Aduitorium and outside patio, the space is often used for event receptions.

The 3D Visualization Center works to provided digital support to energy research through virtual reality, simulation technologies, and sohpsiticated mapping.

The Advanced Coal Technology Lab located on the first floor is primarily used to analyze and research coal conversion technologies.

Operated by the 3D Visualization Center, the Simulation Suite Lab provides space for student interns to learn 3D software and programming.

Primarily used by the Center for Economic Geology Research, the Geotechnical Lab is equipped to advance research in carbon storage, critical minerals, and oil & gas.

The Carbon Engineering Lab is used primarily by the Center for Carbon Capture and Conversion and is equipped to test the performace of various coal-to-products.

Located on the rooftop are two solar array systems. One system is connected to the EIC's electrical supply, while the other is avaialble for research experimentation.

If you are interested in hosting a meeting in the Energy Innovation Center, please contact us to check availability, schedule, and for building usage rules and expectations. Tours of the facility are often provided. Contact us to inquire about upcomnig opportunities to view the building or to request a tour.
