Kimi Takaki is an Executive Business Manager on the financial team at the School of Energy Resources.
Takaki has extensive experience as a seasoned accountant with a proven track record of increasing end-to-end accounting and financial transparency. Her reputation for excellence in accounting and finance procedures, as well as in budget management and grant administration make her an asset to the financial team.
Takaki holds a Bachelor’s degree from Colorado Mesa University in Mathematics, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Wyoming. She later earned her Master’s degree in Accounting from UW and embarked on a decade-long career as an accountant in both the private and public sectors. Prior to her most recent position as a Senior Accountant for the City of Laramie, Takaki served in accounting and management roles at UW in the Department of Civil Engineering, SER, and the Wyoming Cooperative Fish & Wildlife Research Unit.
Takaki has been recognized for her merits and work ethic, receiving the 2020 Administrative Excellence Award for the Cooperative Research Units at the United States Geological Survey.
