NEXT STEPS
- Apply for admission and submit the non-refundable $40 admission application fee.
- Submit official high school/secondary school transcripts.
- Submit official TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo scores.
- Submit a completed UW Confidential Financial Statement.
- International students selected to receive the Brown and Gold Commitment must confirm their enrollment at UW by August 1, 2025, 11:59 pm MDT.
Our office will consider final high school/secondary school transcripts as long as they are received no later than the first day of a student's incoming semester. This applies to student who have confirmed enrollment by the above deadline. Increases are subject to available funding.
RENEWING REQUIREMENTS
The Brown and Gold Commitment is renewable for up to 8 semesters (4 academic years), or up to the first bachelor's degree, whichever comes first.
- Students must maintain a 3.0 cumulative UW GPA (evaluated at the end of each spring semester).
- Students must maintain full-time continuous enrollment (a minimum of 12 semester hours) during the fall and spring semesters, with successful completion of a minimum of 24 credit hours each academic year.
- Eligibility for the Brown and Gold Commitment will be reviewed at the end of every spring semester; therefore, enrollment during summer session(s) following the spring review is not included.
- If the Brown & Gold Commitment is lost for not meeting the minimum requirements, it can only be reinstated through a successful and timely appeal. Meeting the requirements again later does not automatically restore the award.
