Good Neighbor Award
The University of Wyoming is pleased to announce the Good Neighbor Award for non-resident, new first-time undergraduate students who reside in states that border Wyoming, including Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Utah.

This award will pay $2,000 annually for and may be combined with any existing non-resident, new first-time Commitment, Award, or alumni benefit. It is renewable for up to two years, provided renewal criteria are met.
WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS?


The minimum SAT test score is 1260 or above.
ACT superscores will not be considered.
New first-time students can request we consider their high school weighted GPA for initial eligibility. They will be required to submit an appeal by the posted deadline.
NEXT STEPS
- Apply for admission and submit the non-refundable $40 admission application fee.
- Submit official high school transcripts and test scores.
- Students selected to receive the Good Neighbor Award must confirm their enrollment at UW by:
- May 1, 11:59 p.m. MDT - for students beginning in the fall semester.
- January 5, 11:59 p.m. MDT - for students beginning in the spring semester.
Our office will consider final high school transcripts and/or test scores as long as they are received no later than the first day of class of a student's incoming semester. This applies to students who have confirmed enrollment by the above deadlines. Increases are subject to available funding.
RENEWING REQUIREMENTS
The Good Neighbor Award is renewable for up to 4 semesters (2 academic years). Be sure to check the renewal requirements.
