Looking to come back after more than one academic year? You must reapply, but we are here to make sure you can come back to UW in your own way. When re-applying, make sure to click “returning student.” If you need assistance with the application fee, reach out to comeback@uwyo.edu for more information.

Returning students may face unique challenges, but we are here to help with anything that comes your way. Find the support you need to come back in your own way!

Explore UW’s vast online or hybrid degree options. Live anywhere you want while still pursuing a degree at UW! Find flexible degree options.

Become a part-time student by taking less than 12 credit hours. While you will not get full-time student perks, a part-time student schedule might feel more conquerable at the time. You can also change back to full-time if needed! 

We have lots of housing options on campus to support returning students, including new residence halls and UW Apartments. Please look at the Housing and Dining website for more information on upper-classman housing or other housing options.  

Enjoy UW’s academic support by engaging in tutoring, our Writing Center, or meeting with your advisor. Find the resources you need by meeting with a Cowboy Coach or a Student Success Specialist.  Find more academic resources here

Meet with a Cowboy Coach to start to build community and find out more about student life. These peer mentors provide a great starting point to getting connected on campus and finding your community. Our Cowboy Coaches can also accomodate online appointments.
