Biography:
B.S., Animal Husbandry, UW, 1965; B.S., Business Administration, UW, 1966; J.D., UW, 1973. Attorney partner at Brown & Hiser LLC, specializing in business, real estate, probate, agricultural law, as well as estate planning. Former Republican member of the Wyoming House of Representatives. Speaker of the House in 2015, House Majority Floor Leader in 2013. President of the Wyoming State Bar (1994-1995). Commercial pilot and certificated flight instructor. Lt. U.S. Navy (1966-1970).  Treasurer of the Board (2020), Previously Secretary of the Board (2018-2020).

Kermit’s wife, Margaret Brown, is also a UW alum. She earned a BA in Social Studies in 1966 and an MPA in 1994. Margaret served as Wyoming State Representative for Carbon County from 1983 to 1986 and retired from UW as Director of Development at the Law Dean’s Office.
