About the NextGenUSP Committee and Their Work
The NextGenUSP Committee is guided by UW Regulation 2-105, by the initial charge delivered to the committee in October 2020, and through ongoing meetings with Executive Vice Provost Kevin Carman. The committee additionally voted to adopt a set of internal guiding principles for their work (adopted Feb. 2022).
Phase I Committee membership was designed to achieve a broad representation across campus units and to include individuals familiar with transfer processes with Wyoming community colleges. In early Spring 2023, the work was restructured into eight sub-committees (Phase II), focused on specific topics identified by the work of the Phase I Committee and guided by sub-committee charges developed by EVP Carman.
By invitation, the committee provides ongoing updates to UW Faculty Senate and to the UW Board of Trustees sub-committee for education.
