Aerospace Studies at UW
The aerospace studies minor contributes to UW students’ professional development and serves as a great addition to other majors within the AFROTC program. Understanding of leadership approaches and international relations achieved throughout the program increases the career opportunities of graduates.

Aerospace studies personnel are composed entirely of active duty US Air Force personnel like Lieutenant Colonel Bret Cove, Master Sergeant Steven Jacobsen and Captain Joshua Heffley. Students get familiar with the current USAF through direct interaction with Detachment 940 leadership.

WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH A MINOR IN AEROSPACE STUDIES?
Students who complete the AFROTC program receive a commission as an officer in the United States Air Force after graduation.

Earn Credits While Serving
Academic credits for Army and Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) are applied toward baccalaureate and graduate degrees in varying amounts depending upon the degree plan of the student and as determined by the college concerned.
