As a graduate student in UW’s international studies program, you’ll also gain access to a wide network of international faculty around the world for your global studies and graduate research.

Meet Our Faculty

You’ll have access to numerous funding opportunities available to help cover the expenses of conducting internationally focused research. Opportunities include scholarships, grants and awards.

FUNDING OPTIONS

Conduct original research abroad as part of your thesis project. If you’re a domestic student, this means going to a different country. If you’re an international student, you’ll do research in the United States or another country that isn’t your home country.

UW’s Global Engagement Office leads the university in advancing internationalization through the academic curriculum, research and scholarship, education abroad programming, student recruitment and international initiatives. GEO encompasses International Students and Scholars and the Center for Global Studies.
