Learn More About the PreProfessional Pharmacy Program
UW’s pre-pharmacy program is part of a broader degree plan to help students pursue their dreams of becoming pharmacists.
How does it work? Students complete the two-year preprofessional pharmacy program and apply to UW’s four-year doctor of pharmacy program. Completing the entire program means graduating with a Pharm. D. in just six years!
Qualifying freshman applicants may be accepted to UW’s early assurance program, where students gain provisional acceptance to the doctoral program before starting at UW.

Please note that students will not receive a degree in pre-pharmacy. The pre-pharmacy curriculum guides students as they fulfill the requirements for admission to the doctorate of pharmacy degree program.

What can you do after the pre-pharmacy program?
UW’s preprofessional pharmacy program prepares students to apply for the Pharm.D. program. Freshmen applicants are encouraged to apply for provisional acceptance to UW’s doctorate of pharmacy program. This early acceptance gives students and their families peace of mind, knowing they can stay at UW to complete their doctorate degree.
