UW Pharmacy programs & More

Admission to the pre-pharmacy is through the normal undergraduate University of Wyoming admissions process and declare Pre-Pharmacy.

The Early Assurance program offers qualified high school students provisional admission to the Doctor of Pharmacy program. Students apply by declaring prepharmacy as their UW Admission Application, and eligible freshman who meet program requirements may receive early assurance.
Admission Criteria:
High School GPA minimum of 3.5
Math ACT score of 23, SAT of 560
Composite ACT of 27, SAT 1280

The application for the PharmD Program process requires that students apply to the UW School of Pharmacy using PharmCAS.

Early Assurance Program Details
Students enrolled in the Early Assurance program will complete the following:
- Pre-Pharmacy: Doctor of Pharmacy; 2-4 Curriculum
- PHCY 4170 Focus of Pharmacy: a course that explores the many different career pathways that pharmacy has to offer. Students discuss tools for academic success, campus engagement, and early professional development.
- Maintain a minimum 3.3 GPA each semester.
- SPEA (School of Pharmacy Early Assurance) students will participate in the application and interview process.
International Students
International Students may apply using the PharmCAS application.
PharmCAS - International Students
The School of Pharmacy requirements are the same as domestic students. In addition, international students must provide official proof of English proficiency by submitting TOEFL or Duolingo.
