About UW's Professional Writing Minor

The professional writing minor teaches students about writing and editing for publications, the web, nonprofits and more. Students are introduced to the skills and literacies they need to excel in a writing and communications-based career or to meet the communication challenges they will encounter in other career paths of all kinds.

Students must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program to pursue a minor in professional writing.

This requirement ensures that students have a foundational academic standing and access to the necessary advising and support services.
