UW Staff Award Nominations Accepted Through March 11

Nominations are being accepted through Friday, March 11, for the University of Wyoming’s staff awards to be presented during Staff Recognition Day.

Supervisors and colleagues are encouraged to nominate deserving staff members. Nomination forms for each Staff Senate-sponsored award and the value of prizes can be found at www.uwyo.edu/staffsenate/recognition/awards.

All award winners will be honored at Staff Recognition Day Monday, April 18, from 10 a.m.-noon in the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center.

Staff Recognition Day will feature door prizes, entertainment, years of service recognition and awards to UW’s outstanding staff members. A highlight will be the announcement of the Employee of the Year.

The event provides an opportunity to show staff members how much they are appreciated for everything they do to keep the main UW campus, and throughout the state, functioning and providing a top-notch educational experience to thousands of students.

UW employees have a maximum of 2.5 hours of release time to attend the annual event honoring the hard-working staff of UW. The scheduling of release time should be a collaborative discussion between employee and supervisor to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the unit.

-- E.G. Meyer Family Award.

-- Jodi K. Humphrey Inspirational Staff Award.

-- Unsung Hero Award.

-- Off-Campus Award.

-- Pete Simpson Golden Gloves Award.

-- Skilled Trades Award.

-- Custodian of the Year Award.

-- Supervisor of the Year Award.

-- True Grit Award.
