UW College of Health Sciences Dean Finalists Selected

Finalists for the position of dean of the College of Health Sciences at the University of Wyoming have been identified, and they’re being scheduled to give public presentations at UW beginning the week of March 21.

The candidates are Kevin Bennett, director of the Center for Rural and Primary Healthcare at the School of Medicine at the University of South Carolina-Columbia; Marketa Marvanova, dean of the Skaggs School of Pharmacy at the University of Montana; and Jacob Warren, director of the Center for Rural Health and Health Disparities at the Mercer University School of Medicine.

Each candidate will be on campus for a day and a half of engagement. These visits will include public presentations in which the campus community can participate in person or virtually. Links to the presentations will be announced in the coming week.

“This is a strong candidate pool, and we are looking forward to their campus interviews,” says Provost and Executive Vice President Kevin Carman. “At the same time, we are saying goodbye to Dean David Jones, who is retiring. We are deeply grateful for the outstanding service by Dean Jones and wish him the best in the next chapter.”

The search committee will welcome input on the candidates following their presentations; survey links will be sent with dates for the campus presentations.
