UW and Wyoming SBDC Network to Host Skill-Building Workshop and Resource Expo April 20

The Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network presents a full roster of business experts and resource providers for the “Small Business Skill-Building Workshop and Resource Expo,” a daylong conference from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20, at the Best Western Tower West Lodge, located at 109 U.S. 14 in Gillette.

Cost for the event is $49. Conference registration includes all workshops, a continental breakfast and a buffet lunch. To register, go here.

Wyoming business experts will provide interactive, skill-building workshops that address a wide range of essential business skills. Several statewide and local business resource providers will also be on hand to introduce their services.

Workshops and presenters for the conference include:

-- “Setting and Achieving Realistic Business Goals,” presented by Kassandra Vaughn-Worsley, CEO for SK Media LLC.

-- “Increase Profits Through Financial Management: Straightforward Cash Flow and Analysis Strategies,” presented by Bruce Morse, a former Wyoming SBDC Network regional director and a retired banker.

-- “Stop Letting Your Business Run You: Achieving a Healthier Work/Life Balance,” presented by Janean Forsyth, Wyoming APEX Accelerator government contracting program manager and personal mindfulness coach.

-- “Designing and Deploying a Year-Long Marketing Strategy,” presented by Paul Johnson, Wyoming SBDC Network associate state director and a former chief marketing strategist in the private sector.

-- “Develop Your Greatest Asset: Attract and Retain Quality Staff,” presented by P.J. Burns, Wyoming SBDC Network regional director (Campbell, Crook, Johnson, Sheridan and Weston counties) and current board chair for the Powder River Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management.
