UW Energy Resources Council to Meet March 30-31

The University of Wyoming Energy Resources Council (ERC) will meet at 7:30 a.m. Friday, March 31, at Laramie’s Hilton Garden Inn for the council’s regularly scheduled quarterly meeting.

During the meeting, UW School of Energy Resources (SER) Executive Director Holly Krutka will provide an SER status update, followed by SER division reports and a finance update.

In addition to the regular session, the council will hold a special session starting at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 30, at UW’s Energy Innovation Center to hear updates on projects that have been recipients of one-time funding through the Wyoming Energy Authority or other exception funding appropriated by the Wyoming Legislature. The council provides fiscal oversight on exception-funded projects.

Both sessions will be offered in person and via Zoom. Interested members of the public wishing to listen in on either meeting may attend in person or request access to the Zoom link by emailing Christine Reed at christine.reed@uwyo.edu.

The ERC was established by the Legislature in 2006. Made up of representatives of industry, state government and academia, the council provides direction to SER priorities for research and outreach.

SER provides undergraduate education and graduate research opportunities; conducts research on existing and emerging energy resources; and disseminates scientific, engineering and economic information to support Wyoming’s near- and long-term energy future.
