UW and Wyoming Community Navigator Program to Discuss Niche Marketing May 5

Small-business owners can learn how to refine and narrow their marketing to a specific niche Friday, May 5. 

Liz Jamieson will present a Wyoming Community Navigator Program (CNP) webinar titled “How to Clarify Your Niche, Ideal Client Profile and Messaging” from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. To register, go here. Registration is free. 

The Wyoming CNP, through the Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network at the University of Wyoming, provides small-business resources and assistance for traditionally underserved entrepreneurs throughout Wyoming. 

During the latest Wyoming CNP webinar, Jamieson will provide tools that small-business owners can use to clarify their avatar clients/niches; discuss what businesses need to know about their niches; and how to gather this information. This information will help small-business owners clarify who to market to; where businesses should be advertising and networking; and what messaging businesses should be using to convert more prospects into clients. 

Jamieson has been coaching, facilitating and training in a variety of environments for decades, including as a Washington SBDC certified business adviser; business coach and program director for a Small Business Administration Women’s Business Center; and as manager of corporate training and continuing education for a technical college. 

She owned a website design and development firm for many years, where she coached entrepreneurs in branding, sales and marketing. There, she worked on the online presence, collateral and copy for over 100 different small businesses. To build her business, she cold-called entire chamber of commerce directories. Jamieson’s strengths are in technical online marketing, loan packaging, business planning and development, and social media.
